  • Objective To investigate the development of malignancies of the urological system after renal transplantation. Methods A retrospective study of 1096 renal transplantations undertaken between 1991 and 2001 was carried out. Results Six patients ( 0.55%) exhibited cancer of the urological system. There were 2 carcinomas of renal pelvis, 1 carcinoma of bladder, 2 carcinomas in both renal pelvis and bladder, and 1 carcinoma of ureter.
