EFFECT OF AME ON PROLIFERATIVE RESPONSE IN HUMAN LYMPHOCYTES

  • In this paper, we investigated the suppressive effect of AME (alternariol monomethyl ether) on proliferative response in human lymphocytes by use of PHA-induced lymphocyte proliferation SH-TdR incorporation method. The results showed: AME had a significant inhibitory effect on SH-TdR incorporation into lymphocytes. As the concentration of AME was 25ug/ml, 50ug/ml, 75ug/ml and 100μg/ml, its suppressive ratio was 76.9%, 89.2%, 91.3% and 94.9% respectively. The effect of AME was significantly different from control (P0.01), and had does-dependent fashion (Y=12.13-0.10X,r=-0.927, P0.05, alone). This result suggests that AME could inhibit cellular immune and affect the AME-induced carcinogenesis.
