Abstract
Objective :To study characteristics and factors about the submucosal carcinoma of esophagus with lymphatic metastasis and formulate the best treatment for the patients with the early esophageal carcinoma. Methods :52 cases with submucosal carcinoma of esophagus were trea-ted by surgical resection and routine clearance of regional lymph nodes. The specimens were examinde by pathology respectively. All of the pat-ients were follow-up for a long time. Result :The incidence of lymphatic metastasis was 23.l%(12/52).The lymphatic metastasis was princ-ipally related to the differential degree of tumor. The lower the differential degree was,the higher the incidence of lymphatic metastasis wo-uld be.Secondly,it was concerned with the size and pathomorphological classification of tumor. The characteristics of lymphatic metastasis wo-uld be the jumping transfer and the size of the invaded lymph nodes ≤1cm. Conclusion :The subtotal esophagectomy and the clearance of regional lymph nodes was advised for early carcinoma of esophagus.
