Analysis of CDKN2 Gene Alterations in Human Gastric Carcinoma

Objective In order to study the alterations of CDKN2 gene in human gastric cancer. Methods The deletion and mutation of CDKN2 gene in 45 gastric carcinoma and 22 normal gastric tissues were examined using PCR SSCP analysis. Results 28 9%(13/45 cases)deletion were founded in gastric cancer,but no somatic mutation was present. Conclusion The findings suggested that CDKN2 gene deletion play a important role in the gastric tumorigenesis,whereas CDKN2 mutation is absent.
