Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic value of neoadjuvant chemotherapy before operation in patient s with stage ⅠB2~ ⅡB cervical carcinoma. Methods Totally 78 cases of cervical carcinoma in stage ⅠB2 ~ ⅡB were operated in our hospital f rom 2001 to 2006, they were randomly divided into Group A(40 cases) who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy for 1~2 cycles before surgery and Group B (38 cases) who were directly operated. We compared the chemotherapy effect and surgery effect . Results The overall response rate was 85 %, which can improved the cancer's clinic stage. The rates of posi2 tive pelvic lymph node metastasis and paramet rial invasion in Group A were significantly less than those in Group B( P < 0. 05) . Conclusion NACT can improve the stage of cervix carcinoma and the surgery effect .
