Objective To investigate expression and prognostic significance of Matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9) mRNA and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in gastric cancer. Methods The level of MMP-9mRNA and VEGF in 40 specimens resected from patients with gastric cancer were tested with in situ hybridization and immunohistochemical technology.
