A Clinical Study of the Neuroendoscopy in the Ventricle Disease

  • Objective To discuss the clinical application of the neuroendoscopy in the vent ricle disease. Methods Using endoscopic (EN), endoscopy-assisted microneurosurgery ( EAM), 39 cases with different vent ricle disease was t reated. There were 11 ventricle cysts, 4 septa pellucidum cyst s, and 10 obstractive hydrocephalus with 4 cases complicating ventricle cyst s and 18 ventricle parenchymatous tumors. Results 11 ventricle cysts, 4 septa pellucidum cysts, and 10 obst ractive hydrocephalus were treated by EN. Of them, 20 were achieved success and 1 recurrenced. Of 18 ventricle parenchymatous tumors, 16 of them were totally removed and 2 of them were subtotally removed. Conclusion Ventricle disease may be the best appropriate to operate by neuroendscopy, including EN, EAM and ECM. Furthermore, the manipulation of neuroendscopy is simple, less operative t rauma reaction, instant recovery.
