CT Study on Parotid Tumors

Abstract :Objective 　To Study on the value of CT in the diagnosis of parotid tumors. Methods 　To comparative study of CT and pathology 68 patient s with parotid tumors were carried out by using. Results 　In CT diagnosis, the sensitivity was 94. 6 %, the specificity is 66. 6 %, the missing rate was 5. 3 % and the error rate was 33. 3 %, accuracy was 89. 7 %. CT in differential rate of benign and malignant ; the sensitivity was 82. 0 %, the specificity was 78. 0 %, the missing rate was 22. 0 % and the error rate was 18. 0 %, accuracy was 80. 9 %. Conclusion 　CT has high susceptible and characteristic to diagnoses parotid tumors, and had greater value in diagnosis of parotid tumors. But CT was only reference value to different parotid tumors f rom malignant ones. The ill defined margin and infilt ration of mass is helpful in predicting malignant lesion.
