Apoptosis Induction of Lycorine on Lung Cancer NCI-H460 Cells and Related Mechanism

  • Objective To investigate the effect of lycorine on the proliferation inhibition and apoptosis induction in human lung cancer NCI-H460 cells, and to explore the anti-tumor mechanism of lycorine.
    Methods MTT assay was used to detect the proliferation of NCI-H460 cells. The apoptosis rate of NCI-H460 cells was detected by flow cytometry. The activity of Caspase 3 was detected by colorimetry.
    Results Lycorine could inhibit the proliferation of NCI-H460 cells, and the IC50 was (5.79±0.11)μmol/L. Lycorine had an induced effect on the apoptosis of NCI-H460 cells. Lycorine could enhance Caspase 3 activity.
    Conclusion Lycorine could effectively inhibit the proliferation and induce the apoptosis of NCI-H460 cells in vitro, and its mechanism may be related to the activation of Caspase 3 expression and the apoptosis induce of tumor cells.
