Progress of TBX3 in Development of Malignant Tumors

TBX3 (T-box3) plays an important role in the process of body’s normal growth and development. While TBX3 in tumor is overexpressed, and its overexpression is connected with p-TNM stages and lymphatic metastasis of lung cancer. Downregulating TBX3 expression can suppress the proliferation and invasive abilities of cancer cell line. Therefore, TBX3 plays a quite important role in the invasion and metastasis of tumor. In this paper, we will review TBX3 gene structure, and the research progress of TBX3 promoting tumor cells invasion and metastasis.
