Nedaplatin Combined with Synchronous Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy in Treatment of Esophageal Cancer

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of nedaplatin (NDP) and combined with synchronous three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy in the treatment of esophageal cancer. Methods Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy was administered in 43 cases of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, with a total dose of (60～66)Gy/(30～33)Fx. Combination chemotherapy was NDP 40mg/m², weekly. Results Of 43 patients in this trial, the response and toxicity of 41 cases were available to be evaluated. The response rate was 70.7% after 3 months of follow up. The most common adverse events were myelosuppression and radiation esophagitis. Conclusion Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy was combined with nedaplatin can improve the lately effective rate of patients with esophageal carcinoma. The toxicities for the patients are tolerable．
