Expression of Stat3 and Correlative Factor and Its Significance in Carcinogenesis of Sporadic Colorectal Tubular Adenoma

  • To explore the possible effect of Stat3,CyclinD1 and Bcl-xL in the process of sporadic colorectal tubular adenoma. Methods The expression of Stat3,CyclinD1 and Bcl-xL at protein level was studied in 107 cases of sporadic colorectal tubular adenoma with dysplasia(SCTA-D) or sporadic colorectal tubular adenoma with cancerous changes(SCTA-Ca) by immunohistochemical staining. Results The positive expression of Stat3 Cyclin D1 and Bcl-xL in both SCTA-D and SCTA-Ca was remarkably higher than that in NCM (P=0.000), and the positive expression of Stat3 was significantly higher in SCTA-Ca than that in SCTA-D (P=0.003). The positive expression of CyclinD1 was obviously higher in SCTA-Ca than that in SCTA-D (P=0.000). The expression of Stat3,CyclinD1 and Bcl-xL at protein level was all increased with the hyperplastic degree of SCTA-D. Positive correlation could be found among the expression of Stat3 CyclinD1 and Bcl-xL. Conclusion Stat3,CyclinD1 and Bcl-xL may involved in the process of sporadic colorectal tubular adenoma.
