Radiosensitization Effect of PKC Inhibitor on Human Lung Adenocarcinoma Cell Line

  • Objective Chelerythrine(CH),a specific inhibitor of protein kinase C-α、β,on the cell radiosensitivity (surviving f raction at 2Gy,SF2),expression of the p53、Bcl-2 protein,and apoptosis of human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549 was studied.Treat A549 cells with different concentrations of CH enhanced X-ray induced cell apoptosis, and decrease the SF2,the expression of p53 but not Bcl-2 protein was obv iously effected by CH. Conclusion  The PKC inhibitor sensitize the A549 cells to ionizing radiation,it may not depend on the quantity of th e p53 protein expression.
