Objective This study was to investigate the expression meaning of hMSH2 and p16INK4a in gastric cancer. Methods Gastric cancer tissue microarray(TMA) was formed and tested expression of hMSH2 and 16INK4a by immunohistochemical methods. Results In gastric cancer, the overexpression rates of hMSH2 and 16INK4ashowed a positive correlation ( r = 0. 23507, P = 0. 0134), which were not related to lymph node metastasis, UICC N stage and prognosis. Conclusion the overexpression rates of hMSH2 and 16INK4a showed a positive correlation and both were not as molecule mark to predict lymph node metastasis, UICCN stage and prognosis.
