Abstract: This paper report 184 patients with stage Ⅱ carcinoma of the mammary gland were theated from 1975 to 1989 in our hospital.There are 92 patients treated by radiotherapy alone, 92 patients radiotherapy plus chemotherapy in these patients.The 5-year follow up rate was 99.5%,the overall 5-year survival rates was 77.7%,the 5-year survival rates of radiotherapy alone and radiotherapy plus chemotherapy were 67.4% and 88.0%(P0.05).Radical doses raging from 40-50Gy are considered to be suitable.The chief cause of failure was distance movement.
