Abstract: Objective 　To study Safety of oncology on laparoscopy colorectal tumor surgery. Methods 　Six2 ty patient s with colorectal tumor were randomized into LC group (laparoscopic colorectal operation) and OC(open colorectal operation), with 30 cases in each group. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (EL ISA) was used to detect the level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and E2cadherin in ser2 um during the surgery. Results 　The serum VEGF level was significant high in the OC group than that in the LC group on postoperative day 7, 10 respectively ( P < 0. 01) . The serum E2Cadherin level in the LC group decreased gradually af ter operation and reached the lowest value on postoperative day 10. Howev2 er, it was found to increase on postoperative day 3 and almost recover the level of preoperation on postop2 erative day 10 in the OC group. There was statistical significance in the serum E2cadherin level between the two group s on postoperative day 10 ( P < 0. 01) . Conclusion 　The laparoscopic procedures undergoing colorectal cancer patient s could not raise the possibility of tumor metastasis compared with the conven2 tional open procedures.
