Abstract:
Objective In order to provide the experiment evidence of the endocrinotherapy for the patients with colorectal cancer, the inhibitions of the Sandostain to colorectal cancer cell were detected in vitro. Methods The sensitivity of Sandostain to 54 colorectal cancer cases were detected by MTT assay in vitro. Those patients were divided into various groups according to their sex, age, site, Dukes stages and the expression of p53. The sensitivity difference was analyzed by statistics in various groups. Results Sixteen cases were sensitive to Sandostain in 54 patients with colorectal cancer. The rate of sensitivity was 29. 6 %. There were no relationship between the sensitivities of Sandostain to colorectal cancer cells and their sex, sites, Dukes stages as well as the expression of p53 protein, but the sensitivity of Sandostain was higher in the young group ( ≤60 y) than in the old group ( > 60 y) . Conclusion Sandostain could inhibit cells proliferation in the most part of patients with colorectal cancer, the inhibitory effect of sandostain was st ronger in young patient s thain in the over 60y patients.
