Abstract: Objective 　To investigate the expression and significance of the human hyperplasic suppress gene ( HSG) in colorectal malignant adenoma. Methods 　The change of the human hyperplasic suppress gene ( HSG) in normal membrane mucosa, benign colorectal adenoma and colorectal malignant adenoma was detected by immunohistochemical. Results 　the positive expression rate of HSG was 94. 2 %, 74. 2 % and 50. 9 % respectively in normal membrane mucosa, nonmalignant adenoma and colorectal malignant adenomas. Compared with that of normal membrane mucosa and nonmalignant adenoma, expression rate of HSG significantly decreased in colorectal malignant adenoma group ( P < 0. 05), the positive expression rate of HSG and VEGF had no correlation with tumor differentiation, but had correlation with LN metastasis and stage. Conclusion 　The positive rate of HSGin colorectal malignant adenomas signification lower than that of normal membrane mucosa and benign (colorectal adenoma, which showed the expression of HSG in colorectal malignant adenomas had signification.
