Abstract: Peritoneal carcinoma is a kind of malignant tumor which occurs and develops on the peritoneum, including primary and secondary tumors. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy is a combined therapy of intraperitoneal perfusion, hyperthermia and chemotherapy on peritoneal cancer, with satisfactory curative effect. In recent years, with the continuous progress of technology and research, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy has become the most effective method for the treatment of peritoneal cancer. In this paper, we review the current situation of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy on peritoneal cancer.
