Abstract:
Objective To observe the prevention of nephrotoxicity induced by Cisplatin with Tiopronin. Methods Forty advanced malignancy cases confirmed by pathology were divided into two groups randomly. Twenty in the chemotherapy and Tiopronin group(experimental group) and 20 in chemotherapy group(control group). Differented with control group. The experimental group was given Tiopronin 0.2g/m
2first DDP injection(80~120mg/m
2)before receiving combination chemotherapy based on high dose Cisplatin(80~120 mg/m
2). The blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and urine β
2 microglobulin were measured. Results The contents of blood urea nitrogen of experimental group were significantly higher than that of control group (
P<0.05) on 7th day. The change of urine β
2microglobulin of trial group were significantly highest than that of control group (
P<0.01) on the 3rd day. Conclusion Tiopronin can significantly reduce the nephrotoxicity induced by Cisplatin.
