Abstract: Purpose To analyze the incidence and mortality of cancer in Ya'an in 2022 and its trends from 2013 to 2022. Methods The crude incidence/mortality rate, age-standardized incidence/mortality rate were calculated. The trend of cancer incidence and mortality were analyzed with Joinpoint. Results In 2022, the crude incidence rate of cancer in Ya'an was 317.19/10⁵. And the age-standardized incidence rate was 178.45/10⁵ . The crude mortality rate of cancer in Ya'an was 185.10/10⁵. And the age-standardized mortality rate was 85.22/10⁵. The top five cancer incidence were lung cancer, colorectal cancer, female breast cancer, liver cancer, thyroid cancer. The top five cancer mortality were lung cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer and esophageal cancer. From 2013 to 2022, the age-standardized incidence rate was relatively stable, but the age-standardized incidence rate in men was showed a downward trend(P<0.05), the age-standardized incidence rate in women was showed a upward trend(P<0.05). The age-standardized mortality rate was showed a downward trend(P<0.05). The age-standardized incidence rate of thyroid cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer were showed a upward trend(P<0.05), the age-standardized incidence rate of liver cancer, gastric cancer and esophageal cancer were showed a downward trend(P<0.05). the age-standardized mortality rate of gastric cancer, female breast cancer, liver cancer, and esophageal cancer showed a downward trend(P<0.05). Conclusion The cancer in Ya'an is seriously threatens the life and health of residents.Targeted interventions should be implemented for lung cancer, colorectal cancer, female breast cancer, liver cancer, thyroid cancer, prostate cancer and other common cancers to control the burden of cancer diseases.
