Comparative Analysis of Childhood and Adolescent Cancer Burdens Between China and the United States Based on Cancer Statistics, 2026

  • The report Cancer Statistics, 2026 systematically estimated new cancer cases and deaths in the United States for 2026 and provided an overview of long-term cancer trends in the country. This article focuses on the core data for children and adolescents (aged 0–19 years) from the report, interpreting the incidence, survival, and mortality rates, their temporal trends, and the long-term risks among survivors. By comparing these findings with the latest childhood and adolescent cancer burden data in China, we propose implications for cancer prevention and control in Chinese children and adolescents.
